Rock of Doug

We had the best time last weekend at our Halloween party. We had couples in the ward over for a little adult only Halloween bash. It was so funny to see what everybody dressed up as. We had some awesome costumes and some even better treats! Thanks to everyone that came and brought yummy treats. Doug dressed up as Brett Michaels (lead singer of Poison.) Brett had a reality TV show that was a spin off version of The Bachelor. His show was called Rock of Love. I dressed up as a Rock of Love groupie. My outfit was even complete with a backstage VIP pass. There were many celebrities that took time away from their busy schedules to come join us. Check out who came down below. I see celebrities......

That's right! We had an appearance by Hannah Montana and Billy Ray Cyrus! When your rock stars like us (our costumes), you know big celebrities.

Charlie Brown and his crush "The Red Head Girl"

Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the White Rabbit came to life for our Halloween gathering.

Law enforcement was out in force. We not only had Border Patrol, but we also had a Marine. The Border Patrol agent wouldn't be complete without her illegal Mexican and the Marine wouldn't be complete without his cowgirl beauty. Great costumes guys!

Celebrities can't have a party without the "help".

Thanks everyone for the awesome costumes. We had such a blast at the party! We have to do this again next year!!!!

Big Old Baby

I know you already know this, but I am almost nine months old! You know what that makes me..... a big boy! I am not a baby anymore like some of those other kids out there. Oh no! I am almost off the bottle. The only time I do that is when it's time to sleep. Even then I try to fight off my parents. I start rolling around and make it hard for them to feed me. I know they're trying to put me to sleep, so I like to mess with them! :) It's great being a kid! I am also getting to be more independent. I have been able to sit up by myself for a while now, but now I can crawl. I'm pretty good at it too. I've had my fair share of spills on our tile though, so I've learned to take it a little slow on that stuff. I also like having a little me time now and then. I'll let my mom put me down so I can play with my toys all by myself. I'm good for a little bit, but than I want her to come play with me again. Oh I almost forgot! I like to play attack of the mommy. This game is so fun! Mom lays down on the floor and I crawl over when she's not looking and dive bomb her. When will she ever learn? I also have another fun game I like to call bye bye binky. I crawl over to the tile, take out my binky, and spin it around on the floor. I can shoot that thing pretty far now! Mom doesn't like that game. She says something about germs getting on my binky but I don't even know what that is! One of my favorite toys I like to play with now is the channel changer. I like to crawl all over the recliner too. I like to hang upside down on the side of it, climb over the top of it, and stand on the floor and shake it. I forgot to mention that my newest trick is I am starting to use things to pull myself up so I can stand. I work out to get my legs big and strong in my bouncer. You should see me fly. I am such a big boy huh?!

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just playing bye bye binky. Can you see why my mom doesn't like this game? I can't!

Cruising for a bruising! Push play and watch me go!

All Aboard

As you know, we are living out here in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our friends introduced us to the most amazing park out here! It's a railroad park! It was so much fun! The park has a railroad that you can ride around the entire park and a marry-go-round. Linkin was a little confused if he should be scared of the rides, or enjoy them. He seemed in a constant debate over crying or laughing. He pretty much looked in shock the whole time. I hope the next time we go back he will smile a little bit more. He did have a lot of fun though with his friends. The weather is starting to cool down a little bit here and it's almost perfect park weather.

My buddies Jake and Jackson road the train with me. Mommy I see you hiding in the back!

Next time we need to bring daddy! It's just not the same! :)

Injured Again?!?!

Yes it is true, there is another injury at the Hall's house. On Wednesday Linkin and I were hiking up Squaw Peak Mountain when all of a sudden a mountain lion came out of nowhere and tried attacking us. My mothering instincts kicked in immediately and I fought off the lion one handed and saved the live of me and my son. In the process, I pulled some muscles in my back and have been laying in bed ever since. Okay, this is a huge lie! I was actually sitting on the couch and turned around to pick up Linkin and actually got stuck and couldn't move. You have to admit, the mountain lion story is a lot cooler! I am hoping that this is our last adventure with bumps, bruises, and surgeries. Since December we have had our fair share of injuries. Doug has taken the most of the injuries with his Gal Bladder, Pancreatitis, bleeding ulcers, and blowing his ACL in his knee. You would think that we were 90 year old people living in 20 year old bodies. One thing is for sure though, it is never dull at the Hall house!!!! If only they gave frequent flier miles at the hospital!

Linkin's Buddies

These are my two buddies in Scottsdale! Look how cute we are! We like to do what any toddlers/babies like to do: play with our toys, drink juice, take naps, you know the usual! Jake and Jackson are part of my crew, and this is how we roll....

I also have a cool buddy named Coden. He's my cousin. We like to chill at Nana's house and crawl toward each other. We're cool like that!

Linkin in Laughlin

We had the best time in Laughlin! Doug, Linking and I got to go to Laughlin, Nevada with Doug's parents Phil and Kayla. It was so much fun! We got to go golfing, eat at amazing restaurants, spend a day at the pool, and my favorite of all SLEEP IN!!!!!! Linkin loved to watch all of the colorful lights and listen to all of the ringing and bells. Linkin had quite an adventure when he got his first cold. He did not like having a stuffy nose and feeling yucky. We all did our best to try and comfort and sooth him, but the only one who was able to do the job was Phil. I have now named Phil the "Baby Whisperer." No matter what Doug or I tried to do it did not work, but Phil could calm him down right away. Thank you Phil! Doug and I also got a chance to have a date night on the trip. Linkin stayed at the hotel with Grandma and Grandpa and we had a night out on the town! We had so much fun it was a bummer to have to come home. Thanks Phil and Kayla for all of the fun!

My big day at the pool with Grandma, Grandpa, Daddy, and Mommy

Look how cute I am!!!!

Doesn't it look like Linkin is say, "Hey, here I am everybody!"

Hola Amigos! Don't I look adorable in this big hat?! Adios Senior!

Golfing was so much fun! This was the first time I broke 100. We had such a blast, but we kept laughing because the golf course was totally ghetto. They had a driving range to warm up at but it was just a cage with a net. It was awesome!!!

Doug and Kayla on the golf course

This was our big night out on the town! We took a trolley boat to and from the hotels to get to our movie. I got so sea sick from this little boat. Talk about romantic! :)

DOUG'S BIG WIN ON THE SLOT MACHINE!!!! (Okay, so this picture is totally posed. We thought it was funny.)

Linkin's Baby Blessing

Linkin was blessed on April 12, 2008. The blessing was held at my parents house with family and friends in attendance. Linkin looked so adorable in his all white silk outfit. The white afghan he was blessed in was hand made by Arlene Bruce. The blessing was performed by Doug and it was such a powerful blessing. The spirit was strong in the room and the love for Linkin and the love of the Lord was felt by everyone in the room. Watching all of the priesthood holders in a circle around Linkin blessing him was such an amazing sight to see. It was so touching to watch the family members and friends who could step in and be apart of that special time with us. We thank all who attended and everyone who was involved. We also thank Bishop Call for coming to our house and presiding to allow all of this to happen. Our family loves you!
