Here is what Linkin is up to at 20 months!
-He is completely obsessed with forks. I have no idea what brought this on or how to get rid of it, but he feels the need to constantly have a fork in his hand and run around with it. Not so much safe. He knows where every silverware drawer is at every house we go to and goes straight for it and asks for a fork. You can't get him to forget about it and do something else either. He is very stubborn and wants what he wants. (I have no idea who he gets that from :)
- He is starting to say a lot of words. (or at least try them out) He says, popa, grandpa, (kinda nana), mommy (but not when prompted. If I ask him to say it he says daddy), spoon, bee (for his brobee doll), hi (his first word of course), gabba (for his favorite show Yo Gabba Gabba). HIs favorite phrases are: I want a bite, I want to play, I want to go outside. Apparently I'm the only one who understands these phrases! =) Other people just say how did you know that?
-He is starting to be a big helper. I ask him to go and get a diaper and he runs and gets one for me. After we change his diaper he will go throw the dirty diaper in the trash can. (He loves to throw anything and everything in the trash can. I have to check it for toys a couple of times a day because he slips them in all sneaky like when I'm not looking)
- He is very aware of the big kids and what they are doing and thinks he can do it too. Even if he may need mommies help to do it!
-The bath tub is the funnest place in the house. It's more fun with daddy though. Mommy is more in and out kinda girl and daddy plays fun games. Linkin has learned all sorts of fun tricks in the tub. He likes to lay on his belly and roll around. Crazy boy!
-His favorite game is to run and tackle mom or dad who is laying on the ground. It is especially fun for him when he catches us off guard and we get the wind knocked out of ourselves.
-He is learning to feed himself. This is a messy process, but he refuses help a lot of the time or at least must be doing it too. He's getting pretty good but mostly dumps it on the floor.

Wow, you have a big boy on your hands! Cute Linkin. We need to get together! I'm back in town, but my in-laws are coming this week. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday? Let me know what your week is like!
i am the SAME way with emmi when it comes to baths... cody can't believe how fast they are. i think bath time should be a dad duty... they are WAY more fun and i swear emmi smells more clean when he gives her a bath.
i also have to check the trash... she tries to throw perfectly good crayons away. i just noticed today that her pile of crayons has dwindled significantly. someone has been visiting the trash can while i am busy.
i went private with my blog by the way. e-mail me (nat26ba@hotmail.com) your e-mail if you want an invite!
